Project Cost Accounting Supervisor

This position has a base pay range of 80K-95K
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of 3–4 project cost accounting associates and oversee day-to-day operations.
- Develop and maintain cost accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate project financial management.
- Conduct regular project cost reviews and support project managers in profitability projections, productivity analysis, and audits.
- Identify potential project-related financial issues, recommend solutions, and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as accounting, contracts, preconstruction, and field operations to ensure financial alignment across projects.
- Provide clear, data-driven insights to internal stakeholders.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports for internal and external use.
- Understand and interpret project contract terms as they relate to cost tracking.
- Manage daily and weekly quantity and production reporting.
- Oversee equipment cost allocations within the cost system.
- Generate monthly project financial analysis reports.
- Lead the month-end close process for project cost accounting.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of construction accounting and project cost experience.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Familiarity with Unifier or similar project management/cost systems.
- General knowledge of sales and use tax laws.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
