This position has a base pay range of 80K-95K

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of 3–4 project cost accounting associates and oversee day-to-day operations.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate project financial management.
• Conduct regular project cost reviews and support project managers in profitability projections, productivity analysis, and audits.
• Identify potential project-related financial issues, recommend solutions, and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as accounting, contracts, preconstruction, and field operations to ensure financial alignment across projects.
• Provide clear, data-driven insights to internal stakeholders.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports for internal and external use.
• Understand and interpret project contract terms as they relate to cost tracking.
• Manage daily and weekly quantity and production reporting.
• Oversee equipment cost allocations within the cost system.
• Generate monthly project financial analysis reports.
• Lead the month-end close process for project cost accounting.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of construction accounting and project cost experience.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Familiarity with Unifier or similar project management/cost systems.
• General knowledge of sales and use tax laws.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
