2nd & 3rd Shift QA Technicians - Food Manufacturing

Position Overview

Our client is a national food manufacturer seeking Quality Assurance Technicians to support food safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance initiatives within their production environment.

This role works closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support daily food safety and quality assurance programs
  • Perform pre-operational inspections of facility and equipment sanitation
  • Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products
  • Execute process control audits and assist with basic laboratory testing
  • Review production documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Provide guidance to production teams on food safety standards
  • Interact with regulatory inspectors as needed
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain flexibility for 2nd and 3rd shift operations


Qualifications


Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills


Preferred:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Food Science or related field
  • HACCP Certification
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Previous food manufacturing experience

 

Key Skills

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMPs)
  • Ability to evaluate food products using sensory methods
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to identify quality risks


Work Environment

  • Work in refrigerated and non-refrigerated environments
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Perform sensory evaluations and basic lab testing
